CryptoPunk #3100 sells for $16M š„
In the biggest NFT trade of 2024 so far, CryptoPunk #3100 has sold for 4,500 ETH - around $16 million.
#3100 is one of nine so-called āAlienā Punks which feature blue skin, the rarest trait available.
This follows our report last week that NFT sales are on the rise, with 43% more wallets trading NFTs, and a 25% increase in market volume.
Doge leads Fractional NFT return š¶
Fractional NFT ownership has rocketed in popularity, led by The Doge NFT.
Minted in summer 2021 for 1,695 ETH, The Doge NFT was one of the first of its kind, blending NFT ownership with crypto elements.
Other fractional NFTs have also grown this past week, including Wen, Harambe and Feisty Doge.
Runestone prepare for huge airdrop šŖ
Bitcoin Ordinals project Runestone has announced an upcoming airdrop, on the back of mining the largest inscription to date.
Qualifying wallets must hold three inscriptions beyond block 826,600.
