Ubisoft’s web3 RPG enters Closed Beta ⚔️
Champions Tactics, a multiplayer turn-based RPG developed by gaming powerhouse Ubisoft, has entered Closed Beta.
Players assemble a team of powerful Champions with unique skills and abilities before facing their peers in strategic, skill-based match-ups.
The game’s blockchain features are powered by the HOME Verse blockchain, a Layer 2 developed by double jump.tokyo.
Deadrop developers drop Dr. Disrespect ❌
Midnight Society, the developers behind upcoming web3 extraction shooter Deadrop, have cut ties with founder and popular livestreamer Guy “Dr. Disrespect” Beahm.
This follows an internal investigation and subsequent admission of inappropriate interactions with a minor by Beahm.
Dr. Disrespect has long been a controversial figure, though his significant platform and promotion of Deadrop made it one of the most well-known and highly-anticipated upcoming blockchain titles.
The state of Deadrop is unknown, with Midnight Society being radio silent since their announcement of Beahm’s departure.
MetaMask team acquire Wallet Guard ⛨
Consensys, the developers of MetaMask and the Linea blockchain, have acquired Wallet Guard, a popular security-focused web3 browser extension.
Wallet Guard checks and authenticates incoming transactions before they hit your wallet, adding a layer of security that both simplifies and clarifies how transactions will impact your wallet.
Consensys are looking to integrate Wallet Guard directly into MetaMask, boosting real-time protection within their products.
