Disney returns to Web3 🎉

The Walt Disney Company has made a return to web3, with their Korea division striking a partnership with metaverse platform Carrieverse.

This marks Disney’s first major web3 move since the closure of their metaverse division in 2023 - putting aside their $1.5B USD investment into Fortnite developers Epic in February 2024.

Fan-favourite characters from Disney movies such as Inside Out, Moana, Elemental, and Coco will appear in Carrieverse, alongside a Disney Exhibition Hall set to debut soon.

RTFKT hatch Project Animus eggs 👀

RTFKT have held the long-awaited reveal of their Project Animus collection, almost two years since its debut.

Introduced in October 2022, Project Animus was a set of 20,000 eggs, available to claim by Clone X holders - prior to the start of the incubation and hatching phase earlier this week.

The reveal saw the introduction of interchangeable 2D/3D digital creatures called Animi, with physical merchandise now available.

Pixels debut Guild Crop Wars event 🪴

Web3 MMO Pixels have announced that their new Guild Crop Wars event will launch today at 16 UTC.

Guild Crop Wars is an experimental PVP mode, seeing players go head-to-head planting and harvesting a variety of special crops whilst attempting to sabotage rival guilds.

A 500,000 $PIXEL ($89,000 USD) prize pool is up for grabs between the top guilds, with top individual players also set to be rewarded.
