Ubisoft x Netflix anime web3 game? 👀
Video game publisher Ubisoft has announced a partnership with Arbitrum and Sequence to develop Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E - based on Netflix animated series Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix.
The Netflix series, which debuted in 2023, is based on Ubisoft Montreal’s 2013 title Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon - and this new Captain Laserhawk game marks Ubisoft’s first attempt at a built-from-the-ground-up web3 title.
The game is set to feature a wealth of characters from Ubisoft titles, including Assassin’s Creed and Rayman.
A release date has yet to be revealed.
Immutable to close IMX Marketplace ❌
Immutable have announced the closure of their IMX Marketplace, with the site to be retired on August 17, and closed completely on September 27.
Debuting in April 2021, the IMX Marketplace was developed by the Immutable team to support the trading of game assets for their Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain.
With this closure, users are encouraged to explore IMX-supported third-party marketplaces, including TokenTrove, AtomicHub and Square.
Ronin MMO ‘Lumiterra’ hits Closed Beta 🎮
Ronin-based web3 MMO Lumiterra has entered Closed Beta, available to whitelisted players on PC, Mac and Android.
Featuring a $1 million USD prize pool, players will get to experience the 2D-meets-3D MMORPG for the first time, and dive into its combat, crafting and social features.
The Closed Beta has seen significant popularity thus far, with tens of thousands of players entering the game to date.
