Trump elected, crypto rallies 🇺🇸
Markets have reacted positively to the election of Donald Trump as 47th President of the United States of America.
Bitcoin has surged to an all-time high above $76,000 USD, with Ethereum rising by 15.66% and Solana rising by 18.94% in the past week, as investors anticipate a more favourable regulatory environment under his stewardship.
Trump made several crypto-related promises during his campaign, including to free imprisoned Silk Road creator Ross Ulbricht, and to fire SEC Chair Gary Gensler - and with Trump having released his 4th NFT collection back in August, the community at large is buoyant about the future of digital assets.
OpenSea tease reboot, arriving December 🛥️
Popular NFT marketplace OpenSea has announced a significant revamp, expected to launch in December 2024.
A waitlist for Early Access to the new platform has been made public, with OpenSea CEO Devin Finzer describing the reboot as a “complete reimagining of OpenSea”, and OpenSea Pro founder Vaibhav Saini remarking that this reboot has been in development for “a year”.
Images are circulating which appear to indicate that the new platform will have support for Bitcoin Ordinals, and that holders of OpenSea’s Gemesis NFTs are set to benefit.
Despite speculation, there is no confirmation on whether the reboot could see the introduction of a much-requested OpenSea token.
Pudgy Penguins to launch mobile game 🕹️
Pudgy Penguins have announced a partnership with web3 game developer Mythical Games to launch Pudgy Party, a mobile game set to release in 2025.
Designed for both iOS and Android, Pudgy Party will be a casual co-op title that sees players navigate obstacle courses and action-filled arenas, with the game’s description thus far being compared to the likes of popular platformer Fall Guys.
Pudgy Party is the latest expansion to the gaming efforts of Pudgy Penguins, with the Pudgy World metaverse having seen a limited release in 2024.
